Watch out for inflated air flow ads on line

In 2018 QuietCool announced new models for the year. The top two are the ES-6000 and ES-7000. Those numbers are created by rounding up the false air flow that QuietCool has published using air flow figures that they say are ” tested via a device that is calibrated to NIST standards ”
That statement has nothing to do with the test that is required by the California Energy Commission, HVI-916.
The result is that there are at least 12 large online retailers that have posted big headlines saying “QuietCool ES-7000 whole house fan 6,878 CFM”
